James Weigle is on the Phoenix Rising Programing Committee. We welcome him and look forward to working with him in our upcoming programs.
James is a professor in the fine arts division at the Columbus College of Art and Design. He teaches lithography and relief printmaking,and manages the papermaking studio.
He maintains a studio on Cape Cod where he will be printing over the summer and is represented by galleries in Provincetown MA.
His artwork is in many private collections and the permanent collection of the National Football Hall of Fame, the 2003 Korean Contemporary Print Association’s International exhibition in Seoul, South Korea, 2007 Chinese International Print Work Studio, Xi’an Academy of Fine Art in Xi’an, China. He has printed professionally for artists in New York at Solo Press and Atelier Ettinger and holds certification as Tamarind Institute Professional Printer, the University of New Mexico 1983; BFA 1980 Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh PA; MFA 1982 Pennsylvania State University State College.
