The Phoenix Rising Cooperative recently received an Ohio Arts Council Capacity Building Grant. In order to examine the options for our future, Phoenix used this grant to work with Janus S. Small, President of Janus Small Associates from Cleveland, Ohio.
During the consultancy we reviewed possible modes of operation for our future, including internal governance and leadership. We have, and are currently examining the suitability of becoming a non-profit organization, and are finding out more about how we can meet our funding needs.
Our organization has grown in its activities and influence over its ten years of operation, and we look forward to future development!
This Capacity Building project has been a key step for PR to take. It will bring our creative endeavors and community outreach to a higher level.
